Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I guess this means that I need a PST2 to code the changed hardware?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I found the [recirculation] and [+] trick, but that didn't work for me.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had a crap LCD on my old climate control, popped in another unit which works like a champ but is in celsius. I searched all over for how to change to fahrenheit. I found the [recirculation] and [+] trick, but that didn't work for me. I guess this means that I need a PST2 to code the changed hardware? Dumb question: does this mean I have to go to the dealer or indie mechanic to have this done? I'm guessing this takes 30 seconds but they are going to charge me $50 to do it... Any way to avoid this cost? (I don't mind leaving it in C but I would prefer it to be consistent with the outside temp display, which is in F.)

POST 3Original post

That would be great if this works. I am out for a couple weeks on vacation, but will have to try this when I get home. My car was originally delivered in Canada and so it is in Celsius. It doesn't bother me enough to buy a new unit but this would be great. Thanks for the post. Kris
