Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know anything about the modded exhaust that Carnewal sells. It is the stock 996 exhaust but they take out the chambers and add on a bypass pipe. Everyone seems to only talk about the MKII mod but this is the MKII mod plus all the guts pulled out.

POST 2Original post

huh? you have a link? I have never seen anything like that from Gert.

POST 3Original post

check under p96, rsr muffler. The modification is done by Robin Sun. He sends you the mufflers and you send the old ones back to him. I purchased them 3 weeks ago and they sound similar to the mods those have done with the bypass. No resonance, nice raspy sound at 4k+. Looks stock from the outside. This is how the car should sound form the factory. I am very pleased with mine. With the CAI installed I can blip the throttle at the track and noticed a huge difference. Alot of the 993 owners seemed happy with theirs as well. http://www.carnewal.com/

POST 4Original post

I've seen those. I guess that is what he is referring to.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

At Idle does it sound like the PSE? How about at startup? I am trying to gauge if this is better than the MKII mod?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone have Robin Sun's contact info.
