Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

First I did a Rennlist search and then I cleaned the leather interior ('03 996 Cabrio full leather option) today using a 10:1 Water/Woolite mixture and then wiping down with H2O. The water turned a bad brown/black color, dark, couldn't even see the bottom of the bucket. I last cleaned the leather this past Fall. Going to treat with the same leather conditioner we use on our COR sofas and chairs. Any Ideas why the leather was so crud incased?

POST 2Original post

do you often park top down... it is exposed to the elements and all you need is one dusty day to get it all nasty. From what I understand you should clean/comdition the leather every month to keep it in tip top shape!

POST 3Original post

Leather absorbs all of the body oil and road grime, especially when the top is down. I drive with the top down for 10 minutes and I smell of road and exhasut, so the leather gets hit pretty hard. Suggest frequent cleaning and conditioning so the leather does not get so bad and it will last longer (it needs some oils).

POST 4Original post

Just do what Phil G. does (although he has a coupe). Get the car all cleaned up and then park it in the garage and NEVER let it outside again!
