Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use the brake when I park-- better than letting the weight of the car rest on the park pin in the trans.
Leading evidence: 'Use brake' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best $100 i have spent' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Use black dye' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

The after pictures were taken using the flash, as it was dark outside.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

$100 bucks and he came to me-- very satisfied. The before pictures were taken without flash when there was some daylight left. The after pictures were taken using the flash, as it was dark outside. So, it is tough to see the exact shade-- but you can get an idea. It is an excellent match.
The steering wheel had horrible wedding-ring rash-- ebrake was scraped up, shift **** was seriously worn, and the seats were cracked and faded in spots.
Probably the best $100 I have spent on this car.
Anyone in atlanta who wants the guy's contact information, shoot me a message.
Wow...he sure cleaned them up a bunch....but I (think) I can see different shades on each seat....especially on the passenger side....how come he just didn't do the front panel of the seat ?(under the knees area). Nice job on the wheel and ebrake...they were pretty pitted. Does the dye smell at all??
Thanks so much for sharing.

J- That is the camera playing games-- he did all the seats-- and it is uniform.
Smell yes-- hopefully tomorrow it will not be so strong, windows are down.
I am wondering. Do you live in the car? How the f does an interior get that bad? Why with a tiptronic is the parking brake that scuffed, unless your parking on an incline/decline it is never used. Even the tip gear changer in ruined.
I use the brake when I park-- better than letting the weight of the car rest on the park pin in the trans. Plus you must pull the brake up to operate the top.
The car has 93000 miles on it- its a daily beater. Also, it is my experience that savannah beige wears easier than other colors.
The ebrake, shifter, and wheel all look 100% now-- thanks
I will try to get some pictures without the flash when it is light out tomorrow so you guys can see how nice it looks. . .
This is another good reason not be be married. It messes up your interior with wedding ring rash. I'm glad your guy could fix all the issues for $100. Somehow getting that damn ring off your finger cost way more than that.
My car looked almost that bad at 55k miles, beige is a sh!tty color. It is like one coat thick and it can rub off with your fingernails, Porsche should be embarassed with beige. I scraped all of the beige off of the panels next to the stereo with my fingernails and then sanded smooth finishing them in satin black.
Yeah - that's why I don't wear a wedding ring. At least that's what I tell my wife...
I have a small scratch along the bolster of my drivers side sport seat. More a scuff. Anyone know of someone who does siilar work around NJ? Thanks...
So, y'all explain to the rest of us exactly why your wedding ring would cause this damage since your left ring finger doesn't touch much leather/plastic/etc at all inside the car. Sincerely hope you were just trying to be comical.
It's pretty easy to do this stuff on your own and get excellent results using
Surflex
.
But $100 seems like a
really
good deal for the results shown in the pictures.
Wow, that looks like a restoration job well done! And at a good price too!
One question though, the crack filler that's used, how well or long will it hold up before it cracks again?
I don't know. But I think they will match color to a sample. At least they did that for me a few years ago when I recolored a navy blue interior and wasn't sure if any of the standard colors would match.
Tippy, I believe Porsche linen is much lighter than Savannah beige, almost white. At least that's what it is on the older cars and I've seen a special ordered 997 in the same color.
