Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Replace avatar too' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace avatar too' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I recently sold my 964 (white C4) and purchased this 996 [not 994!] C4S (with leather package, aluminum trim and small carbon fiber trim, electric seats and memory, PSE, Bose, ...). PSE sounds better than the stereo.
Wow. I had owned by 964 for 12 years and parting with that car was painful. But in every practical way this is a better car for me - my daughter can fit in the back seat, my wife can drive it, it's faster, more comfortable...I just wish I had the garage space for both.
Picture attached to avoid the inevitable.

Adrian,
Welcome to the widebody club. FANTASTIC CHOICE...YOUR CAR IS STUNNING. If that's an '02, then we have twin cars. BTW, get urself some clear side markers....really makes the car look so much nicer. Cheap mod and will literally take you 3 miinutes to do.
Best of luck....

Adrian, looks like you're around where I live. I'm newer to the 911 club than you.
Congrats on the 4S. Certainly the best looking 996 out there.
Best,
Ben
Thanks for all the kind words.
I've taken a look at the pictures posted of cars with the clear side markers and agree they are a big improvement. From searching the forums, it looks like people have had good experiences ordering from bumperplugs.com, so I'll give them a try. Plus it looks like their actual bumper plugs will color match better than what I've got currently so I'll order a couple of extra items.
I'll post a few more pictures when I change them out. I guess I'll change my avatar too!
