If you need to replace bumper, I have seen the oem areokit bumper (mk1) on ebay regularly for 995 + the side skirts for 795 while the list price for the gt3 bumper is 2600 and I think list on the regular bumper is just under 1000.

Hi all and Happy Friday.
If you've followed some of my recent threads, I recently had an engine replacement under warranty and have decided to keep my 2000 Black 996 Cab for at least a couple more years. I went to Avio Coachworks in LA to get a quote on painting the bumper and hood, as I have a lot of chips on both and want to freshen up the look of the car (the rest of the paint is in pretty great shape).
Well...while the estimator was looking at the bumper, he point out that there is a slight crack in the plastic on the bottom passenger side and it affects the clips that hold on a plastic piece at the bottom of the bumper (in front of the wheel at the bottom of the bumper). He said they could work with it, but the clips may break soon. I am probably going to replace the bumper. I wanted to ask your opinions on whether I stay stock or do something different. I don't have an aero kit or side skirts and want to do something that will flow with the rest of the car without additional add ons.

I have heard that you can do the bumper and the sides without the wing although I have mostly only seen it on cabs. Maybe you want to keep it clean looking with a partial aerokit, and still adding stability to the vehicle? just my 2 cents.

I'm in the Los Angeles area - if I wind up replacing this bumper, I'll give you the old one. All you would have to pay is shipping. I'll make a decision within the week on my plan and will keep you posted.
