Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Replace c4' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace c4' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know that in 2002 Porsche reintroduced the C4S coupe. I have also seen C4 cabrio's but I cant recall ever seeing a C4 coupe for 02+ cars. After 02 did Porsche offer the C4 cabrio, the C4S coupe only. The C4S replaced the C4 for coupe body style. Or did they also still offer the C4 coupe as well like they did in 99-01?
Maybe someone can clarify this for me.
Also, does anyone know an approximation for the percentages of C4's to C2's from 99-01? Is is only about 10-15% for C4's compared to 85-90% carreras (C2's)
Thanks
Hmm.. can't say for sure, but it sure seems like they didn't.
Went online to
www.porsche.com
, and did a search for preowned C4 coupes, years 2000-2006.
There were a few 2000's available, a smattering of 2007s, 8 2001's, 7 2006's, and nothing from 2002-2005.
I also did a "completed item" search on ebay for 2002 Porsche 996 c4, and the only ones that showed up were Cabs..
Seems highly likely if they made 'em there would be one or two showing up for sale.

No, for the US market the narrowbody 996 C4 coupe was no longer offered after the 2002 facelift. The lineup was: narrowbody C2 coupe, C2+C4 cab, C2 Targa; widebody C4S coupe, Turbo, C4S+Turbo cab (in 2004?). I believe the narrowbody C4 coupe was manufactured but available in Europe, not in the US.
thanks guys
That was my suspicion but I wasnt sure. I was going off of what i could see for sale and as Nick suggested, he too couldnt find any narrow body C4 coupes.
Anyone know an approximation % of C4 coupes to C2 coupes from 99-01 ?
That was discussed briefly recently in another thread.
I too thought there was no C4 model from 2002 onwards, but
Apparently, someone stated that Porsche did continue the C4 but not too many were not imported into US.
The quote you provided was about cabs, not coupes, and the question was about coupes. If you go to the flat-six site, while they list a 2002-2004 C4 coupe, there's no information, and the examples shown are either cabs, or in one case, not a 996.
2002-2005 C4 cabs are relatively common - I have one
Still haven't seen a 2002-2005 C4 coupe, though.
- Nick
Actually, Nick, No...it was about C4 and C4S in general, no mention of cabs in particular.
He only mentioned he "found at least 3 C4 cabriolets"

But of course, I am unsure myself, just quoting what I read.
Quoting from the "Porsche Data Book" by Haynes:
1) C4 Coupe from 2002 to 2004
2) C4 Cab from 2002 to 2005
They only give 2002 production numbers (6,621 and 7254, repectively).
For trivias' sake, the 2002 numbers the C4S coupe was 4,817.
The C4S was available in Cab. from 2003 to 2005 (no production numbers in book).
1) 99 to 01 C2 coupe was 31,135
2) 99 to 01 C2 Cab. was 23,598
3) 99 to 01 C4 coupe was 12,643
4) 99 to 01 C4 Cab. was 9,411
All of the above numbers are world wide.
Anytime! Since February I have built quite the little Porsche library. I have to say that The Data Book is the one I enjoy scanning the most. Probably because I cannot see me affording a 997 or even a 987 S for quite a while, so it covers every single model that I am considering, at this point
