Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If I use my middle initial and surname, it is RS!!!

If it makes people more comfirtable, I will stick to that as my reason for using the RS badge.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Very Nice.
BTW I am originally from Banbury, still have a lot of family there and around in the villages, so I recognize the motorway you are driving on
I think I can feel the difference. The car does feel planted to the road. That said, I have combined it with a Cup front splitter which, IMHO, has given the car more steering feel at high speeds.
The colour I was really after was Speed Yellow. For some reason, as you probably know, the Brits are very conservative when chosing Porsche colours. I just could not find a nice SY car....and then this came along.
and that's cool, but you're open game to having some of us tell you it's silly to put on a badge for badge's sake
it's like those 7 series I see with ///M badges.
You could extend this discussion and say it's silly to put a wing on a car that PAG designed to work without a wing, so is everyone with e.g. a turbo wing on a C4S is a conman?
Let people have their individual tastes. Some like blinky wheels, some not, some want to put "my name is Michael Schumacher" on the back of their car, some not and some like the RS batch.
Love the color of your car. I am one of those people who loves Porsche's in unique colors, but alas would never have the stones to own such a color myself.
Fair enough. I don't believe that Porsche ever made a 996 Mk 1 "Type R" or made a "VTEC" Mk 1 996. Were those badge options also under consideration?
Sorry, but I really don't see any difference between a 16 year old kid slapping a "type R" badge on his Integra (of a different model year of course) and what you have done with the "RS" badge on your 996.
Then again I could be wrong and this might just be no big deal. Maybe you might pose the question in the GT3 forum to see what they think (bring a flak jacket).
In all seriousness I like what you have done to the look of your car (except the badge).
Maybe the RS is this blokes initials.
It could be like the guy that painted a big letter "S" on the top of his car, so when people saw him drive by, they would say "Look at the S car go!"
Thanks gents.
All
of the comments are much appreciated.
I did not have the car painted, it came from the factory in that colour. In fact, according to Porsche, it is a bit of a one off. It was ordered with the kit, GT3 seats, Riviera Blue belts, dials and rear console, X51 engine upgrade, PSE, MO30, deleated sunroof, rear seats and seat belts etc, etc.
I will try and get some better pictures, as the colour is much sharper than in these pictures.
Thanks again.
Actually, you are partially right! If I use my middle initial and surname, it is RS!!!
If it makes people more comfirtable, I will stick to that as my reason for using the RS badge.
Awesome options. I like the way it looks, but as someone else previously posted, I'd never have the ballz to drive something that loud.
This car is much more unique than Speed Yellow IMO. It reminds my of the blues on the GT40/Ford GT (Heritage colors). The rear bumper without the bumperettes--I'm jealous!!
Yes, but at the time there was a long waiting list in the UK for GT3's. Not everyone wanted to wait. The original owner also ordered an identical 996 Turbo...
