Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

What kind of rubber are you using for your track days?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

First off, this forum and its membership are top shelf. The wealth of information and experience shared within the group is excellent. I hope that I can do my part to contribute along the way as well.
I owned and enjoyed a 1988 928S4 a while back and last year moved from an E46 M3 to the 2000 996 C2 w/18k miles _hopefully_ shown below. My appreciation of the handling dynamics increase with every DE day. Now all that's necessary is to upgrade the driver.
Mods are fairly limited at this point... 2nd set of rubber and pads for the track, plugs and clear markers from Eric, and yet another PSE mod variant that I will post soon.

WW,
Welcome to the club. Your story and car are very similar to mine. I too went from an E46 M3 to a 2000 996 blk/blk with aero, same wheels, and about the same mileage. I also did a few HPDEs in both. So your car is gorgeous to me
FYI, I have an ROW 030 kit in an unopened box that I purchased from Sunset that I may consider selling. Let me know if you are interested.
Anyways, enjoy that beautiful car.

Zoo, she's a beauty! Can I ask why you note "an untimely end' in your sig? I do like the looks of the aero package. I have been considering the 030 kit or pss9's as an upgrade and have read great things on both.
Thanks for the welcome!

WW-I made a simple mistake on cold tires and it bit me.
Regarding the differences of ROW 030 and PSS9, everything I know I learned from this website. Do a search for both of them and you should find everything you need and more.
I went with the ROW 030 because it was cheaper and I trust the engineers at Porsche to know a little about their own car.
I was walking around while I had some tires installed today and I saw a black 996 wththose exact rims on it! I always wondered how my car would look with them and I like the look. I'm waiting for my rims to arrive as I have some deep dish BSAs coming in. It's sort of similar.
Yea! Nice track shot! What kind of rubber are you using for your track days? I think my Yoko's would be sliding before the car would load up like that. Also, are you using a clear bra or similar? The main issue I have at the track is the ever-increasing rock chips I get every time I go out. Drives me crazy.
Thanks again for the comments and the warm welcome.
Zoo, I will do a bit of research regarding suspension options then PM you on the details.
The sport design wheels seem to be reasonably strong although they are certainly not the lightest. I actually purchased a second set to be able to swap out for DE events.
The track shot was turn 10 at NHIS. I think the added compression comes from flattening out at the end of a short downhill section. The tires at the time were Bridgestone S02's although I prefer Michelin PSs and will probably move to them next.
450knotOffice, I do not run a clear bra. I have not picked up many chips from the track but have had to polish out a few scuffs from kicked up rubber. So far it has not been a problem. Time on the track seems to make it worth it.
