Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I saw the pictures, minor rash indeed, so I bought them, sent off the bad wheel to get cosmetically repaired, turned out it was bent and it was cheaper to buy another (used) wheel than to get that one repaired.

The last time I bought used rims, one had "minor curb rash".

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know it's a long shot but I thought I would check. I am getting a little tired of the look of my car and would like to change wheels. I'd like to get some 19" 997 wheels or Techart wheels. Anyone want to trade wheels and tires for wheels and tires? These are the Carrara light weight wheels and are authentic OEM wheels. I'd also consider trading for other 18" wheels but my first choice are 19". Mine are in great shape. Here are a few pictures:
MFIG...they're not 19"s..but they look the part. For info/pics check my signature. Wouldn't mind trading for stock rims + cash or just cash straight up.
You could just keep your originals as a backup and buy the dreaded, but perfectly ok and awesome looking inexpensive replicas...

Just don't tell newport I told you about these, or you'll get an ear full!
The last time I bought used rims, one had "minor curb rash". I bought them from a guy off of this forum, as a matter of fact...
I saw the pictures, minor rash indeed, so I bought them, sent off the bad wheel to get cosmetically repaired, turned out it was bent and it was cheaper to buy another (used) wheel than to get that one repaired. Used wheels are a real crap-shoot.
So... keep your old wheels. If they are as pristine as you say, then they are worth keeping. That's my advice.

I hope you're not suggesting that I'm trying to dump off my wheels because they are bent? I'm sorry you had a bad experience with someone on Rennlist but I have had a few very good transactions here. I don't have a problem keeping my wheels but just thought I would try something different and thought someone else here had the same thought.
Dude!
Absolutely not!
I'm sorry that I wasn't more clear.
What I meant was that the wheels that you trade for may not be as pristine as the ones that you are giving up. That's why I said that you should keep the ones that you have.
Sorry for the confusion!
Michael
