Both cars did not pass as a result of their thoroughness but it is small price in comparison to some heavy repair bills later.

I recently had two 01 TTs inspected at Redline Motorsports in Tempe, AZ and would like to complement them on their great service and inspections. Both cars did not pass as a result of their thoroughness but it is small price in comparison to some heavy repair bills later. Robert the lead tech and owner was extremely helpful as was anyone I dealt with on the phone. I also think they are the only independent shop in the area that has the PST2 system. Thanks Redline. Also, A fellow Rennlister (SMShirk) is inspecting another one for me in the ATL area. Let's hope this is my last PPI.

+1 I'm curious what they've been finding wrong. Also, how thorough is "thorough" and is there such a thing as "too" thorough? Afterall, these are USED cars, Porsche or not.

The first car had some body panels replaced, rear wing inoperable, and a few too many Type 2 overrevs. The second TT had the 2nd gear popout issue, windshield had been replaced wrong so it whistled at higher speeds, and some engine issues. Both cars looked great from the outside and showed normal wear and tear.
