Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leave it to the German engineers to use spring clamps.
Leading evidence: 'Use spring clamps' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use spring clamps' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I noticed driving home last night that my coolant was overheating but my car wasn't. So I got home and put some water in and everything was fine. Drove to work no issues but when I came out for lunch I saw a trail of coolant all over the ground. It's leaking out of the bottom left hose clamp area.
Can I just get a new clamp? This could get expensive.
EXTREMELY unlikely it is the pump. There is a known issue with the tank/cap as well as the lower hoses. Sometimes, just the clamp is bad and replacing it will stop the leak. I apply shellac to the inside of the hose before clamping it.
Once again 1999 you are right on the money. I'm not even taking that hose off. It'll probably break. How do they think those hoses are going to last right next to the headers. I need some ceramic coated headers to reduce the heat. Anyone sell those or heard anything about ceramic coated. I might get some ZTeks and ceramic coat 'em. They owe me some cheap headers.
are you sure it isn't just the cap from the expantion tank?? I had this happen to me about 3 weeks ago! Coolant just sprayed out from under the cap and ran out from under my P......looked like a big disaster..but the cap is only about 18 bucks!
The spring type clamps will leak. I found 2 leaking on my car. I replaced them with screw type clamps over a year ago and haven't had any more drips. The shop where I take my car indicated there is a TSB for the clamps (don't know the number). My cooling system gets a serious workout in the metro traffic on 100 plus degree days in the summer.
