Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I think they replace both the RMS and IMS at the same time at least twice.

Suggestion
Ask them if they are using the latest RMS (same part as used in the Cayenne) and the updated installation tool (the older tools would damage the RMS as it passed over the tool and was inserted in the block).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I bought my 02 996 last Aug and in one year 6K miles of ownership, I have 4 RMS replaced. I just picked up the car yesterday for the 4th one, almost every 3 month I am going back for a new seal. Dealer said all my shafts are within spec. I am sure this 4th one will last another 3 months. Should I go to a new dealer for replacement, or I should push this dealer for a new engine???
Are you sure it is the RMS? Normaly they replace the RMS and IMS at the same time. I had my IMS worked on 3 times. First time just seals. Second time, seals, shaft and IMS housing. Third time, IMS support busihng and seals. Now the probelem is definitely fixed.
If it was 4 RMS', then ask them for how much the rear spacing was for the crank. If they do 2 RMS', then they shoudl check to make sure the crank is not out of round. If the crank is out of round, the normal procedure is to replace the entire engine assembly.
I think they replace both the RMS and IMS at the same time at least twice. and everytime they just replace the seals only, no shaft, no IMS housing, no support brushing. and they said they did follow the standard procedure to check the run out and spacing.
New to Porsches but not to seals (I have a Land Rover, after all): If you're going through seals like that, there are only three realistic explanations. One is you're being hosed. Two is these guys don't know how to turn a wrench. And three is there is some kind of deformation in the cast parts involved, and it will never be right no matter how many seals you put in it. (I've heard of this happening with cars that have been spun and the back end got stopped by a curb, for example). I'm kinda with blk on blk... I'd probably start howling at PCNA as a start. Your dealer certainly doesn't have any motivation to help you solve this, not with you making his yacht payments. Good luck...
I've had two RMS' in 6 months. Never had a spot in the driveway, nor did I notice the leaks. But when the car was at the dealer for other work, he noticed it and went ahead and did the work.
I've also done the Intermediate Seal, both the cam cover leaks, etc. Eveyrthing has a two year warranty, so if it leaks again, it goes back to the dealer. Thats a little peace of mind.

If in fact you have gone thru this many properly installed/correct RMS, then I'm guessing your block was cast out of tolerance and will likely never be correct...yes, it's happened.
I bought an 02 C2 in oct 04; My first RMS at 14K when car was CPO'ed, then again at 35-36K and just again at 60K. Supposedly got the new seal and have been told all was with in spec every time. I never saw drips, but engine was wet.
