This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

You would be much better served adding a small subwoofer and amp (or powered sub) and letting that do the work on the bottom frequencies, then you can set the OE locations to play just mids and highs which will allow you to put more power to the fronts and rears.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Fellas, I want to upgrade the rear speakers in my Cab (met blue), but the grills can't be purchased from the OPC wothout the speakers!! I'd like a larger speaker than 4" anyway, any information on aftermarket grills greatly appreciated. Dean

In that location, increasing the speaker size to a 5.25" or a 6.5" really won't net you much more overall performance. You can't get any true low end out of that location. You would be much better served adding a small subwoofer and amp (or powered sub) and letting that do the work on the bottom frequencies, then you can set the OE locations to play just mids and highs which will allow you to put more power to the fronts and rears. Simply dropping in a 4 x 50 watt amp w/ built in crossover on the OE locations and a 150-200 watt powered sub will do wonders for that system...especially if you ever want to rock out with the top down!

Thanks, But it's the rear's i'm finding difficult to replace. Despite keeping the factory fitted head (PCM) i have transformed the sound by installing a a phoenix gold titanium zx 475, powering a pair of DLS ur 35s in the front and a small 6" sub in the footwell. Although the sound has been transformed, the factory fit rears let it down despite a second PG amp providing the ooomph(PCM), to install a new set of rears means obtaining new grills (all one unit according to UK opc's) or finding aftermarket 'pod's', which so far i've been unsuccessful. So has anyone upgraded the rears, if so where did you get the grills? Also; as i don't like having a sub in the footwell, i'm about to install an 8" pioneer shallow sub behind the rear seat backrests, will report on sound once fitted.
