Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

yes I checked those LCD plate out, but they draw power from the battery to be in the transparent mode and they also cost around $500...

You have a flash unit installed on either side of both front and rear plates.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

anybody think this would fit within the center opening of the front bumper ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1zIG...eature=related
I mean I bet it would fit under the bumper, but then clearance is affected. The best I think would be to put it where the front center radiator would be, no ? I just never removed my front bumper and I have no idea if there is enough space... I think it would be a fun project...
see the video below, at time marker 00:34, you will see it mounted in the middle of the bumper.

Sorry. But that is the dumbest thing to ever be invented. With our low Porsches I can virtually guarantee that you would lose the plate and that fancy device within a few miles of installing it. Just follow the KISS rule.
Something like this works a lot better, with no holes needed in paintwork. Forget the front. Get one for the rear and call yourself James.
yes I checked those LCD plate out, but they draw power from the battery to be in the transparent mode and they also cost around $500... I would be into them if they could be activated automatically when a red light camera flash at you for example.
But anyways it is more for the look, also I find pretty cool to watch the bumper sucks the plate
I disagree.... I think more and more people are going to be looking for ways to avoid THE MAN as they put more and more cameras in more and more places.
if I had the money (like Bill Gates money) I would hire some hot shot PhD's to build a laser that detected those things and shot a hole right in the cameras visual pickup to make it permenently blind until repaired.
There is a city near me (~30 miles south) with a redlight cam on almost every intersection... and they have a LOT of intersections!! Hate them things and IMO.....awe heck with it, I better stop before I get all worked up
what's the point?
You'll get pulled over for not having a front plate if they don't see it and get hassled.
Do you really run red lights to warrant?
I got pulled over so many times not having the front plate, and got tired of it. Plus, at one point, my car got towed. Not worth it.
Maybe this is just totally lame, but would it really look that bad to put the front plate on the dash, passenger side. I assume that would be legal - but would it be ugly?
The sliding plate is purely a weekend project and fun thing to play with. I don't really care to have the plate up all the time... as far as I know I can take it off anytime I want
It is like living by the beach and never going to the beach... just feel good knowing you can
About the red light camera and the LCD plate though, everybody says it is a ripoff and they abuse totally, so if I could get those plate to tint only when I get flashed, then I'd be in the market as well !
The countermeasure to the intersection cameras is quite simple. You have a flash unit installed on either side of both front and rear plates. They are charged up and ready to go like a photo flash on a 35mm camera. You have a slave unit plugged into the circuit. The slave unit detects the firing of the intersection camera's strobe and it within a millisecond, fires the flashes that are near your plate(s). They will literally blind the intersection camera in such a way that the thing will never record your plate number. It will just look like a big bright spot.
I installed it on mine but on the C4S the center of the lower spoiler comes up an inch or two so it fit perfectly in the cubbie. Had to modify the bracket a little for clearance but when retracted is not noticeable unless pointed out.
Def. a novelty item but it's a must if you like to enter your car in shows.
you can also saturate the plate with IR light from LED's - cannot be seen by the eye but the camera gets over exposed... no trigger, just run them 24/7 with the key on
(look at your remote control thru a digital camers and you can see the bulb blinking, same wave length)
Philooo - Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I tried as best as I could to get a shot from under the car. Hard when the car only sits about 5" from the ground.
