Suggestion

You can do better by a few hundred by just buying them and checking with the reputable Porsche aftermarket vendors.....I think I saw a post were someone just bought a set for $1800....I bought mine for WAY under that but that was a special circumstance.

I had been in contact with vendors/distributors allready, however, i am NOT a vendor; if i were, i would of had a price set from the get-go.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone interested in a group buy on coilovers? Im thinking i could do it for the $2,000 mark...Maybe lower depending on intrest?? What's the word Pcar owners?! -Keith

POST 2Original post

For ~$2K I am in. I have a C4S 2004. Thanks Guy

POST 4Original post

put me under maybe. i need to read this up: http://www.pca.org/panorama/sample_article_3.html and decide if i want ROW M030 or PSS9 how much does PSS9 lower the car by? is there a good comprehensive article on PSS9 - different settings, different ride heights, etc..

POST 6Original post

Are you a rennlist member or a site sponsor? Sorry if I butted in on your sale if you were selling them. I was under the assumption you were looking for a vendor to do this. You may want to read the 6th post at the top of the page, it is an Admin post. I appologize again.

POST 8Original post

Me three. Thought you were looking for a vendor to jump in.

POST 10Original post

Not to put a damper on this but $2000? You can do better by a few hundred by just buying them and checking with the reputable Porsche aftermarket vendors.....I think I saw a post were someone just bought a set for $1800....I bought mine for WAY under that but that was a special circumstance.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You guys can get them wherever you want...I was just gauging intrest... Assuming gets you nowhere. I am not a vendor, but i have been talking to vendors. I know what these things go for at cost, so i was just "guestimating" what a group price could possibly go for. If your price beats my "guesstimate" price by $20 then good for your company. I just figured you would of started a thread about it... Anyways, i guess that i won't be organizing a group buy and Porsche Doc will be running a group buy... I was just trying to take an initiative to help the community Keith

POST 12Original post

So I am confused. You were looking for vendors to do a group buy through, I offered them, since I am a vendor, a rennlist sponsor, as well as a rennlist member. If I had a good price, then what is the problem? My guess is that you were going to run your sale through your company "True Performance", who is not a rennlist sponsor, otherwise you would not have had a problem with me offering my services. John and Jenn are always looking for Rennlist Sponsors (as well as rennlist members, come on it's 18 bucks, pay up), at which point your comany could start doing group buys. We look forward to seeing your company as site sponsors, and good luck with your group buy.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well i dont want to ruffle any feathers in the community...I am new here as it is... Like i said, i was trying to gauge interest in the possibilities of a group buy. I had been in contact with vendors/distributors allready, however, i am NOT a vendor; if i were, i would of had a price set from the get-go. I have never advertised my company nor will I try to. We don't even deal with this sort of stuff anyways. I apologize for any violation of the rules, or any inappropriate posts, but i did feel a little bit "stepped" on when you came into the thread posting that you can do a better price, especially when i didn't even have one. That trumps any legwork that i put in before hand, making it a waste...(hence my frustrastion) The good news is that it is good for the community, cheaper prices = happy buyers. I just wish you would have PM'd me i guess... Now that this thread has been polluted, i dont know if we will ever get a group-buy to happen, but if anyone is still interested, let it be heard...I would be eager to get in on one... -Keith

POST 16Original post

My post was to help with your process of finding a vendor, that didn't mean that you still couldn't find a better deal through some of the other vendors on here such as vividracing, etc who support the community. It didn't mean that the group buy was going to happen through me and at my price, that was just my offer, of which is gone now, you can do the group buy how ever you choose. If you had posted a better price, that would have been the end of that, but you didn't, you started crying about it for some reason, for which I still do not understand. Like I said before, I appologize, and have edited my first post which had the price in it.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Fair enough...I agree... Will a mod or admin delete this thread untill further details are worked out... thanks, Keith

POST 18Original post

For my 2cents worth. Group buys make sense, so I hope this confusion does not stop these initiatives. We have some strong purchasing power as a group. Lets use it when we can. Now if someone wants to get Gert of Carnewal to do a group buy for X74 count me in.

POST 19Original post

I am interested in a group buy on the pss9. you can count me in. Vince

POST 20Original post

Gator: Not sure what all of the above is all about but I am interested in a group buy for pss9's. Let me know what happens and what the price, if it ever gets that far, would be. Thanks Jack

POST 21Original post

Gator, let me know the info. I'm considering it for after the track season. Steve

POST 22Original post

I'd be in for a set as well. But not for $2000. You can do better than that in about 30 seconds doing a quick Google search.

POST 23Original post

what is the best price you guys have found for a setup PSS9s for the C2? The best I've found is $2099. How much better do you think we could do as a group with 5 buyers?

POST 24Original post

Shox.com has them for the C4 at $1899. Why is the C2 more $$?
