Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They just arrived at Vividracing. Dan is the best. Gave me a great deal on all my p-car parts purchases . 19" iforged Essen polished lip with Gunmetal center with contis Will post pics with them on the car next week.

POST 2Original post

how deep is that lip in the back?? looks great!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If i recall right: 4.5". I thought it might be too much, but i like it in the pics. Got to see it on my car still.

POST 4Original post

They are really cool! I love staggered wheels . thanks, Amir

POST 5Original post

i hope your car is lowered aggressively else it just won't look right. iForged wheels are a good value. definitely cheaper than HRE. do they have the same vibration in the rain issues as the HREs? looks 1000000X better than any stock porsche wheel

POST 6Original post

HRE is a bad idea - plenty of articles out there why Lookin good Mario!

POST 7Original post

WOW post some pics when you get them on.....very nice

POST 8Original post

Why is HRE a bad idea? I was thinking of a set way down the road. Thanks JKC

POST 9Original post

Oh brother, not this again. Do a search, this has been heavily discussed here and on other forums. Long story short, their wheels have had failure issues, so much so that they have been banned at certain racing leagues, such as the Viper Racing League. I even emailed the head of the VPR to confirm this. The majority of HRE's wheels are made for street use and bling. I understand they now have a performance wheel, but I cannot speak for it. I think in the end, why spend the money?? There are better wheels for the same or even less $$'s. Kinesis, Fiske, BBS, etc...

POST 10Original post

C4S is wider than Carrera in the back end isn't it? thats why he can afford the wider rear rim lips? HRE has track series wheels. C20, C21 & C22 model designation. They're supposed to be designed to take the track beating and they are light!

POST 11Original post

WOW..great looking wheels it should compliment your car very well. I see your from NJ, just make sure you avod those pot holes...

POST 12Original post

I had some iForged Aeros on the former car (M Roadster) and it's a nice wheel, and lightweight too. My only post purchase complaint was cleaning them. The centers were not bad at all and it was polishing the uncoated aluminum lips that was a pain. I tried several approaches to cleaning and maintenance and all ended with sore fingers, very time consuming, or ineffective. However, I never got around to trying the Mother PowerBall, but it looked promising and you may consider it. If anyone is interested, I took several pictures of my old wheels prior to mounting. Large and detailed so you can see quality, build details, etc. http://www.zvolution.com/iforged.htm Enjoy your new wheels and post pictures when they're on the car!

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, guys. Car is lowered a lot. Ron at Forest Hills told me it's the lowest C4S he has seen. I will make sure it will looks flush .

POST 14Original post

Those rims are awesome! I wanna get some like that, whats the price on those?

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No idea what they weigh. But if they are too heavy i'll shed off some pounds i could do at least 15 to 20lbs

POST 18Original post

Very nice wheels, can't wait to see them on the C4S.

POST 19Original post

FWIW... The former Aeros were 19x10 rear @ 24 lbs. and 19x8 front @ 23.5 lbs.

POST 20Original post

really great looking wheels, looking forward to see them on your your car!

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. They should be delivered on 9/7 and i should be able to get them on that weekend.

POST 23Original post

why did you go with continentals? they are arguably some of the worst porsche-approved tires out there, and not really that much cheaper than a "decent" tire...

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good point, when i initially priced the set we priced it with contis which i read mixed reviews on. I don't like the Pirellis on the car. I told Dan at Vividracing i would still think about the tires and maybe put Michelin on when he gets the rims. I called him a few days ago to change it to the Michelin but they were already mounted and ready to be shipped. I am not upset about it. Price difference $350 on the set. I'll let you guys know how they are.

POST 25Original post

we all know how they are, they are spec'd stock i personally am very much a fan of the proxes t1-r, bridgestone so-2/so-3 as well.

POST 26Original post

my friend, those are nice wheels. how do i know? I own a set on my M3! and i also purchased them from vivid. not dan though, another guy over there. see for yourself. also, the lips on mine are "just" a little bigger as they are 5in. either way, good choice and i hope to pic up a set when i find the right Pcar and sell this one!
