Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Problem is, I have been looking for about 4 months in the Dallas area for one and have had no luck and I am really leery about buying one out of the area because I would like to see it, drive it, and have a PPI test done before I buy.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ive decided to get a 99' cab because it sounds like its within my budget, $30-35k and I like the interior better than some of the older ones. Problem is, I have been looking for about 4 months in the Dallas area for one and have had no luck and I am really leery about buying one out of the area because I would like to see it, drive it, and have a PPI test done before I buy. Any suggestions on other places to look other than the usual, Autotrader, Cars.com, local papers, local dealers, etc. Thanks

POST 2Original post

POST 3Original post

What are you looking for, that can't be met by those sources (and on Rennlist )? That was my range, and I found several that were great. My search on Auto Trader shows 29 in that range, (including '00) under 60k miles. I was limited to slightly fewer, because I eliminated all private parties. Capital One gives a better rate if bought from a dealer.

POST 4Original post

i'd like to have a look at your car . I am in the mkt for 99-01 cab also.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

there were 7 on autotrader yesterday, 99-2000 cabs between $30-35k, and 2 have been sold and the other 4 havent responded back to me yet. I have 2 dealers also looking for me and they havent come up with anything either. I agree, it shouldnt be so difficult to find one in my local area, but for some reason, it is... thanks

POST 7Original post

Ahh, the key was "local area". I was willing to go anywhere to get mine. Thanks for the clarification!

POST 8Original post

Plus, it's still summer/autumn. Indian summer's coming. Favorite season for convertible owners. You'll see more cabs in the market come late October. John

POST 9Original post

Try these guys: eCarLink . I've never dealt with them personally, but have heard good things about them. They are in the DFW area.
