I'd assume these would involve either putting the white gauges over the black face or replacing completely?

The key to getting the needles back to the original position is to take a digital picture of the gauges before the install and then use the picture to get proper orientation.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anything done this? I'm looking at a 2002 996 with black gauges and prefer the white. Just trying to see how far it would set me back for parts + labor.
TIA.
I'd assume these would involve either putting the white gauges over the black face or replacing completely? Also, wouldnt removing the needles need some adjustments afterwards?
Is not that hard to do
After I did mine and put it back on the car I did have to remove it one more time because some of the needles needed to be adjusted.
Well worth it. Cost for alluminum on a 00' was $299.
i just might do the same to my 00 996 ocean blue/gray interior.
think it would really dress up the dash.
up intil now, i was considering the boxster type faces ( bold helvetica type, i beleive )
I thought it was real easy. First time I ever did something like that before.
Just follow the directions and you won't have a problem.
I even had to adjust the gas needle because it was a little off. Not a big deal

I did mine myself. Easy DIY but be careful. Adjusting the needels took me a few times but it's a 1hr job tops. I paid $199 at brandywine. They look great
