Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently purchased an '02 C2 and have no idea where the previous owner kept the wheel lock key. Any ideas where to begin looking(I already looked behind the spare)?

POST 2Original post

Mine is in the right hand side door pocket where the PO left it. Ciao, Adrian.

POST 4Original post

Yeah, it could be attached to the end of the lug wrench socket/extension. Otherwise, you would need to get a new one from the dealer. I had to get a new one when I bought my car.

POST 5Original post

There should be a tool kit, and a bag for the jack in the trunk. If it's in neither, then it could be in any cubby hole, or missing altogether. It's a hassle if it's missing, but the dealership can get you a new one.

POST 6Original post

Mine was in the little pocket in the front of the spare wheel cover, where it's held together with velcro to let you undo the wing-nut.

POST 7Original post

Mine was in the "cover" of the spare tire. There should be a pocket in the cover that is accessible by pulling open the velcro strip on the cover. If it is not there, then remove the spare tire and check the back of the spare. You may find it with the rest of the tire changing items.

POST 9Original post

My wheel lock key is probably on ebay. My car was missing everything, no wheel lock key, no wheel locks, in fact no tool kit!

POST 10Original post

Mine is in the little ash tray beside the gearstick.

POST 11Original post

---^--- +2 If it isn't in the pocket, take out the spare and check if it is under or behind. Worst case, you can go to a dealer. They can order a replacement off your VIN.

POST 12Original post

I picked up a complete set of lug bolts including the locks and key for about $5+ship off Ebay. Hmm....

POST 13Original post

You're kidding...?? What's the condition like? Oh, and the shipping's probably the catch...?

POST 14Original post

With my other sock, please send it to me if you find it.
