Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In the beginning, I went to test drive the C2 thinking that it would not be fast enough (I previously had 2 older turbo's), but was impressed with the power.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I test drove a C4s this weekend, was raining so didnt drive the turbo which I came for, felt that the C4s was definitely more "planted" then my C2 but wasn't sure if I liked the feeling. The C2 feels like it has more get up and go during acceleration. Has anyone went from a C2 to a C4 (or C4s)? Opinions? Likes/Dislikes? This is for a daily driver, and may see some DEs/track. Ross

POST 2Original post

I have a C4 as a daily driver and love it. But I am bit bais because I really like AWD cars.

POST 3Original post

Can't speak specifically for C2 vs C4... But I have gone from high-powered... FWD - wheel hop hell AWD - can't break all 4 wheels loose...but laugh at imperfect roads and road conditions....somewhat tame ride. RWD - somewhat scary since risk of oversteer around a curve. Latest is a C4... AWD - tame ride...slightly slower due to extra weight...however inspires confidence in any condition. My reason for C4 was cuz I wanted to drive year around. thanks, Amir

POST 4Original post

I had a C4 and my buddy has a C2. In the beginning, I went to test drive the C2 thinking that it would not be fast enough (I previously had 2 older turbo's), but was impressed with the power. The C2 was able to chirp second gear easily. However, the oversteer, even though I enjoyed the challenge of "driving" the car, was more difficult to handle than the C4. With the AWD, all you have to do is point it and it holds a great line. I was only able to break it loose a couple of times - once on a 270 degree freeway onramp at 51 MPH. My buddy in his C2 could not hang at all. He got to around 38 before the rear started getting loose. I loved the C4, and the gear noise made it sound a little more air-cooled. More nostalgic! Either way, you will love it.

Ditto with these comments One extra difference is that my 4S has a front ground clearance of 9cms (ROW 996, I think the US version is 10 cms) Extra excitement when crossing kerbs etc
