I ran across this one on EBAY and it checked the boxes for me and my and my under 20K budget.

I bought a very decent set of used Fikse wheels from a distributor in California for about $2500.

Suggestion
For a NB 996 C2/C4, we recommend our 18x8.5" ET42 up front paired with our 18x11" ET60 in the rear.

Suggestion
I purchased them as a way to use my brand new 19 tires after a Rennlist member sold me a set of expensive bespoke 996 forged wheels that were not only bent but twisted upon arrival proving ALL wheels can fail.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Need some wheel advice... I need tires and want to 19inch. What 19's are affordable out there or does anybody wanna trade for my current set up? What wheels are you running? Anybody know what a reasonable price to sell these wheels are? Don't mind the falling garland in the background!
If those wheels you have are OEM I'd keep them and get an additional set.....those 5 spoke lightweights are very desirable OEM wheels.
Many many 19's available....not sure how much your affordable is but plenty of sets to be had in the 1500 range
I bought a very decent set of used Fikse wheels from a distributor in California for about $2500.
Great wheels, but that may be out of your budget. Tire Rack sells Alleggerita and they are about $1800 for a set of four brand new.
Bear in mind, aftermarket wheels, while lighter than OEM, tend to be a little more fragile for street use.
Also, 19" wheels means lower profile rubber, which means that potholes, etc., are more likely to bend and crack wheels.
Lots of options out there, just depends on budget. Oem 19 wheels from a 997 turbo are one way to go as are offerings from HRE and BBS. Id categorize those as premium options that are typically forged and not cast (stronger and often lighter) and will ensure proper fitment. If you dont want to spend $2-3k on wheels (not including tires), you might check out the site below.

When I bought my C4s, it had 19s but they were oem replicas and were NB fitment. They were also bent and not in great cosmetic shape. Not sure if I wanted to stick with 19s, I decided to buy a cheap set of 19s until my tires were done. They are cast and cheap, but look great and have held up well (pic below with my 19s from Wheel Dynamics) Their customer service was geat too. Just a good cheap option imo...

Wheel dynamics sells trash wheels from China . Good luck ever selling your car with that junk on there. Get something Oem hre bbs. Gt3 wheels would look great if that is indeed narrow body and if it is would like more details.
Please tell us the previous owner didn't put the "turbo" emblem on the back.
Porsche made some "Turbo-like" twists that were same design as the Turbo and C4S wheels but designed with the proper rear offset and width for the narrow body Carreras. The Turbo/C4S has 8x11 on the rear, but the narrow body version would be the proper 8x10 on the rear. That would give you the complete turbo look you might be going for on this car. Not my cup of tea, but who am I to judge.
I just put on Victor Equipment Zehn's in silver and 18" and love the look. 19" just really dont fit or ride well. Most porsche specialist mechanics agreed with me when i asked around. If you want to reduce the gap in the wheel well, just add lowering springs
Champion makes some quality stuff. Had their RG5s (19) on my last car, a 99 C2 for a couple years. Downsized to Apex 18s (in my avatar). Good wheels too.

The only bit I dont see mentioned is that tires to fit the 18x10 rears on a N/B are getting harder and harder to get,, Not much selection..
I've been looking at 17's even just to get some tire selection.. Especially if you want a winter set..
Have you had bad experiences with them? How many sets have your purchased from them? Would love insight from someone with experience with their products.
As I mentioned above, they are a cheap alternative to better options and come at a cost. I purchased them as a way to use my brand new 19 tires after a Rennlist member sold me a set of expensive bespoke 996 forged wheels that were not only bent but twisted upon arrival proving ALL wheels can fail.
And I dont have plans to sell my car. I do have plans to buy a fourth set of wheels for it but waiting until Ive done a full suspension refresh before I decide on 18s or 19s. Simply providing a cheap alternative that has held up really well and look great imo. And apparently Im not the only one that likes they way they look as I won first place in group at this years PCA Concours dElegance, lol.
Pirelli sottozero 3 winter tires 265/35/18 fit the 18x10 rears i believe, i just stretched a pair on 18 x 11 rims for rear c4s rims, but now am looking for 18 x 10 rear rims to avoid the stretched look.
Buy a set of 19" Vertini RF1.1's.
They are cheap (About 1k-1200), Extremely light (around 20-21lbs each), and they are Flow Forged (same as major brands like some HRE and OZ). 19's are fine with the correct tire sizes, I run them on my 996 with absolutely no issue, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I think the silver ones would look great on your 996. Get the right tire setup/stagger and you are good to go.

This is a fellow rennlisters car. I have factory 997 19" Carrera Classics on mine but strongly considered these:
I was not able to find them in stock,, they were back=ordered all over.. Some out 4 months.. (Bit late for winter.. LOL)
Continental used to make DWS-06's in that size as well,, no longer made..
One of my favorite all season tires.. )
I'd like some Ice-x's or Blizzacks but same story.
Thanks for all the positive response and there is always the not so positive ones. For those that care I am not a 996 fan at all. In fact I am more of a aircooled guy but since I got rid of my last one, a 1993 964 C4, the prices have gone through the roof to the point i would never be able to afford one on a teacher salary with 3 little kids. My smallest i think likes the car more than I do!
Therefore that brings me to the water cooled market and the 996 or 997. 997 was out of my price range and I am not a stock 996 fan but I do like the Turbo and 4S look. (Naturally).... I ran across this one on EBAY and it checked the boxes for me and my and my under 20K budget. I absolutely love the car and for all those haters have a good day.
I know it's not a perfect photoshop but I think the Vertini RF1.1 19" and going with gray sidemarkers would do a lot for your car. The stock MY02's just don't fit the look of how modified your car is. I would also remove the badges and the wrap on the spoiler. Also if you removed the warts on the front bumper would be a big improvement. I would also try to get a set of 996.2 side skirts. I think it would make everything a bit more consistent. Fun and def different car, glad you are enjoying.
Thats a great photo shop job! Looks good, I do like those. The wing is actually carbon fiber.. Not sure what skirts these are and yes i need to remove the bumperettes just havent had the time. But thanks for the advice I like those wheels

OP, up for consideration is our Porsche SM-10 wheels. We offer a variety of chassis-specific fitments for Porsche models for street, track & race applications, and we believe that our SM-10's offer tremendous value. These wheels feature I-beam spokes (spoke scalloping) and knurled beading along the barrel, accept factory Porsche crest center caps, clear a wide variety of aftermarket and factory big brake kits
including PCCB's
, are independently tested and verified by the VIA, and are backed by our unmatched 50% replacement program.
For a NB 996 C2/C4, we recommend our 18x8.5" ET42 up front paired with our 18x11" ET60 in the rear. If it is a track car with negative camber dialed in, we would suggest the wider 18x9" ET46 up front paired with the 18x11" ET60 in the rear.
