However, when the immobilizer gets wet it still "kills" the car until repaired/replaced.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

You thinking this is the source of your wet carpet?

Yup!

Not the Pcar but when my 300ZX was new the wife and daughter drove to Chicago in the summer. When they got there they called explaining that the front passenger footwell and behind the seat was wet. I mean wet like two inches deep!. It was the AC drain line that had disconnected itself. Nissan ended up installing new carpet with my "encouragement". Nice thing was Nissan put the "ECU" in the passenger footwell but on the incline part on the firewall so no water damage as opposed to Porsche who decided to mount it in the lowest part of the interior...Hope you can easily fix your water issues.

The computer under the driver side floor is for the immobilizer system. The engine control computer (ECU/ECM) is on an aluminum plate behind the rear seats.

I realized that after I posted and decided to let it stand. However, when the immobilizer gets wet it still "kills" the car until repaired/replaced.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I fished some heavy gauge weed wacker line and only got about 3' in before it stopped. Looks like it's exit is hidden behind the belly pan/splash shields? Anyone know if the exit end of the hard line connects to another junction. My next thought was to fire up the compressor and see if I can blow air through it.

POST 9Original post

Been a long time since I've been under there, but I do believe the drain line has an exit hole through the belly pan. I think trying some compressed air to see if it "blows" is a good idea.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Found the leak Compressed air passed through with no blockage. The rubber elbow that connects to that hard line is not a tight fit and that's where the water is coming from. Might try a zip tie as I think a hose clamp may be to aggressive for the soft rubber. I may have an old spring clamp that might work. Found it on the road and saved it. LOl!
