Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not yet another radiator thread is what I'm thinking as I type this..... so here it goes and I'm keeping it simple.' Checked fan relays for click. Only passenger relay operated when A/C turned on driver relay had no click. Driver side radiator fan inop, checked fuse, fuse was blown. Replaced fuse and repeated test. Fuse blew. Removed inner wheel well liner, disconnected harness to fan, replaced fuse. Radiator fan relay clicks on and fuse did not blow. Conclusion: driver fan inop. Driver fan spins freely, so my next question is could this be the resistor? Looking for thoughts on next steps and suggestions.

POST 2Original post

if it works on high, then its most likely the resistor if not might be the fan I will look for a link that shows where to jump it, then it runs on high when it should be on low... easy fix IMO here is a link, to a link https://rennlist.com/forums/7142183-post15.html follow to RT there is a link, cannot access from work, great write up and pics

Thanks for the reply. The fan is totally inop, no high speed or low. The fuse was blown, so I replaced it and it blew immediatly. Next I disconnected the harness in the wheel well, replaced the fuse and it didn't blow. My conclusion is maybe the fan is bad????? Is it possible to test the actual fan without removing the bumper?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Problem Found!!! The harness/cable for the driver side fan had become trapped between the metal housing and the vibration wore away the insulation. Moved wire, taped it and no more problems.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
