Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi there Very pleased to be "here". I just got a white 996 (99), It has the turbo 18 inch wheels with the sport exaulst and the open and close baflle on demand. The car seens to be fine, but as I start to accelerate hard, in 20 minutes, a small light that is near the Temp figures start to show off and blink. At the manual its saying that its the coolant that is low, but the coolant is fine, as the level is between low and high. Also, I am thinking about getting the PSS 9, since during righ speed turns, the front seens to bounce a little bit. (Not very happy with suspension) The car also has the Evo intake. Does this make any difference in HPs. I have dynoed the car last weekend, and the car pulled only 199 Whps (with the air condition on) that means that the car is "loosing" at least 17 whps. What do you think it should be done? Freak

POST 2Original post

There was an Excellence article that said EVO intake lost HP on the dyno. My guess it will be better once the car is moving and getting fresh air. I really don't think any intakes make HP the just make the throttle sound better. Yes the stock suspension is soft and any upgrade be it M030, Pss9 H&R will help alot. As far as your light my guess is that either the sensor for coolant level is bad or you may want to fill it up some more.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

eddie So its totally "****" to make this mod... Previous owner... I will try to get the PSS9, cause really like bilstein... ... I have it on my S4 tks Freak

POST 4Original post

The blinking light is a pretty good indication that the coolant tank needs to be replaced. Very common problem on '99s.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ive replaced the coolant liquid, and now the light is not blinking anylonger. thank you. I hope I do not have to replace the tank. What do you guys think about the performance? Have you ever dynoed your car? W O T FREAK
