I know this car just makes the SY owners cringe every time they see it knowing what a beautiful SY 996 it "used" to be.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 2Original post

They really ought to give this to charity. Been on eBay countless times, will never sell to an individual with that paint job, and it's just time to put it to pasture. Or paint the damn thing Speed Yellow again and move it out!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OVER $129,000 NEW! A ROLLING MASTERPIECE! GATHERS CROWDS EVERYWHERE! WILL WIN ANY CAR SHOW! CARFAX GUARANTTED! PORSCHE WARRANTY! HARDTOP INCLUDED! ONLY 4100 MILES!

POST 4Original post

It's just plain sad to see such an abomination of an otherwise fine car.

POST 5Original post

The might possibly be the most popular 996 in the world. It's posted on a forum at least once a month. Someone should name it.

POST 6Original post

I didn't even need to click on the link to know what car you were talking about.

POST 8Original post

What do you think the paint scheme of the hardtop is???????

POST 9Original post

Don, I've seen the car posted countless times, and as I recall the top is oem speed yellow with no aftermarket paint detractions.

POST 10Original post

Now if we could just find who bought the pink panther 996 and have her buy this clown 996 for her husband. I know this car just makes the SY owners cringe every time they see it knowing what a beautiful SY 996 it "used" to be.

POST 11Original post

That is funny two of the most infamous ebay Porsches "Pink pather" & "Ghetto Clown Car" I have seen that paint job on a 64 Impala crusing down the I5... Not exact colors but similar.

POST 12Original post

I have seen this car with my own eyes. It was sitting out front of Porsche North Scottsdale. I must admit I turned into the dealership just to see this car up close. Thus, I guess you can say it does "gather crowds everywhere" but as my wife and I can attest....it is an absolute shame to deface what used to be a beautiful speed yellow 996!

POST 13Original post

Sad, but there are 9 bids on it... My only question...? Whyyyyyy ? it is ugly....

POST 15Original post

This is the most God awful hideous looking thing I have ever seen.

POST 17Original post

Sad, but there are 9 bids on it... If you could get it for $45K, it'd be a good deal. For that price you could invest another $10K into a first class paint job.

POST 18Original post

Didn't they bury Doug Henning in this thing??

POST 20Original post

First I had to look at that paint job... then Doug Henning. end the madness

POST 22Original post
