Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Driving home tonight my exhaust almost instantly got extremley loud. I have PSE installed. When I got home it seems to be coming from the passenger side only. Is my exhaust shot? If it needs replaced to I go with PSE or an alternative? Thanks

POST 2Original post

If it's still under warranty I'd just get it fixed. That is if it is indeed shot.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is this the kind of thing that can be fixed or is replacement the only option?

POST 4Original post

Usually, one ofthe pipes have developed a hole. Occasionally, one of the conections/welds have came apart. Either one usually results in replacement of the part.

POST 5Original post

A hole???!!! This is an OEM part developing a hole---that seems unacceptable. Oh well it is what it is as long as its replaced un warranty. Mike

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have it at the dealer now. The car is a 99 with a Porsche extended warranty. I have not looked at the details but I would be surprised if the exhaust was covered under the warranty.
