Can someone give me information on the cooling fans and how often they should run? I am talking about the ones in the front of the car by the tires. On my 1999 C2, they only seem to come on when the car was running at low speed or when the weather got a little warm. I now have a 2001 C2 and the fan seem to run most of the time. Does anyone know why? It's annoying because it stirs up a lot of dust.

I live in dry, dusty, hot Tucson. My AC is now on all the time. My 2001 C2 stirs up a cloud of dust everywhere I go. I feel like Pigpen from Peanuts.

Last week it was really hot in NY and I pulled my car in the garage and shut it off... I was puttering around the garage bit later and the rear engine fan went off - scared the bejeezus out of me. Don't remember my 01 C4 doing that.
