Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It will have a factory remanufactured engine and transmission installed next week.
Leading evidence: 'Install next week' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm planning on selling my black on black '99 C4. It will have a factory remanufactured engine and transmission installed next week. The car has 49k miles on it and i guess you could say 0 miles on the engine and tranny. What do you think?
39-42K for it. I know, it's grim, but that's the range now. All depends on condition. Regards, and good luck. Is it a late '99? That could bring a bit more too.
Have fun,
I could be wrong, but I think all '99 C4's were "late '99" cars...
In any case, I bought my '99 C4 in October for $45k /w a 3yr warranty. The car had 28k miles on it and a fresh set of tires. All the typical options plus some exclusive bits. The car was in pretty much perfect shape - one owner, etc. This was purchased through a dealer.....

I saw a 99 C2 Artic Silver Coupe at dealer for 38K with 42K miles. So privately 38- to low 40s seems to be in range. I would make sure you have good documentaion why the engine and trans change. Plus hopefully dealer will provide some additional warrantee coverage at any Porsche shop. May consider replacing clutch while apart, may help quicken your sale and starting price too.
Just curious why the trans change ? Suspect engine is multiple RMS leaks.
My car was the one that had blown an engine and tranny for no apparent reason. I had posted some threads about in October. It has taken me this long and some legal representation to finally get this matter settled with my extended warranty company. The engine and tranny has a factory 2 year warranty and I still have 2+years or 100,000 miles on the remaining extended warranty for the rest of the car and new engine and tranny. So essentially, I feel that the car is almost "new" with respect to the drivetrain. Thus, i'm having a hard time putting a value on it. Anyone interested in it?
I'm interested......what options have you got? How much are you looking to get in order to part with it? Do you have pictures? I vowed never to buy another black car, but if the price is right....
Regards,
Jon
