Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So which areas are best to cover with the Xpel? Is it doable to self-apply? What should it cost? And if a guy was to spend $500 on it what parts would you do first?

POST 2Original post

The front impact areas are the most important to use for paint protection. Hood, fender, mirror are the most popular. I would do the hood and fender first. That is the section that takes the most abuse. As for do-it-yourself... We do have some retail products that can be purchased at http://www.xpel.com/diy_paint_protection/ but I would not recommend installing a clear bra on your own. It takes some skill and training to put it on right.
