Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm having a factory remanufactured engine and tranny installed on my 99 c4 this week. Do I have to break it in like a new car? What is the break in procedure anyways? Thanks

POST 2Original post

I reckon so. But that's no big deal. You gotta break it in hard anyway Anyway, that's some serious work going on there. The whole damned power train being replaced. Hope your not paying for it

POST 3Original post

Did your warranty company step up to the plate? Jeff

POST 4Original post

Yeah Dude, what's the story behind the need for all these repairs, and whats the milage on you car..

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ighlight=ronc4 The story on that was that the engine and tranny blew and I was 6 months out of factory warranty but had an extended warranty. The extended warranty company tried do deny the claim for "abuse" ( I guess you can't drive porsches hard or something). I retained and attorney and he wrote a few letters made a few calls and got them to honor the claim. Total cost to me was a $100 deductible and $845 in attorney fees. Debating now whether to sell or keep......
