Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I noticed that at the bottom of my rear window, it does not say "Porsche" like all the other 996's that I've seen out there. I was wondering if it had anything to do with my model year (2000), or is it likely that the rear window has been replaced. Anyone have any insight into this?

POST 2Original post

Does it have the imprint "Sekurit" logo in the middle upper center with the code numbers?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Davidmichael, yes it does. Is that a good thing?

POST 5Original post

Yes, that's a good thing. Often times if glass has been replaced, the insurance company goes with an aftermarket glass because it's cheaper. Did you buy used? Is there a "delete" option for the Porsche logo. It might be that whomever supplies Porsche that glass, forgot to place the logo.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Davidmichael, yes I bought it used about 5 months ago here in Dallas. Should I look for the 'delete Porsche' option on the original window sticker?

POST 7Original post

I would take a look. Don't know if it was an option or not. Can you call the person you bought it from or the dealer. Maybe early 2000 cars didn't have the logo?
