This is not a probability of success.

Why don't you keep it as a narrowbody and use the TT front and rear?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My ideal 966 could share the special looks of the C4s or TT, together with the weight and handling of a 2WD. Can a C2 be modified to the looks of a C4S or a TT, including the same front and rear widths as the C4s ? Does it make any sense ? Should it be feasible: will the different width of the rear and new settings improve or affect the handling of the car ? Has anyone done it ? Any idea of costs involved ?

POST 2Original post

There is a great looking 996 converted to a turbo look-a-like posted by gornalad. If you check the history for the thread you should see it. The thread subject is "1998 C2 converted to 996 turbo lookalike" Even though it's a 1998 I believe it's still a 996 since it is Europe.

POST 4Original post

Can a C2 be modified to the looks of a C4S just drive it slower! DonnyJ

Oh, yeah, I remember that thread too: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...urbo+lookalike

POST 8Original post

Why don't you keep it as a narrowbody and use the TT front and rear? Best of both worlds....sleeker yet with the C4S look!

POST 10Original post

you'll have better resale with a stock c4s--if this is a consideration for you.

POST 12Original post

Don't forget all the extra weight in the C4, and the extra drag produced from the wide body : ) If you do the conversion, you should also upgrade your chassis with better brakes and suspension (and blow by the C4 : ) cdp
