Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm going to the shop I've used for years and have a set made.
Leading evidence: 'Set made' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Set made' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

My real reason for posting is to suggest that you put set screws in the collar that holds the bypass pipes to the cats.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

A muffler shop might charge about $50/$75 to make these for me. Anyone else interested in a cheaper alternative to the Fabspeed ones? I think $500 is outrageous and refuse to pay that for something so simple.
To be honest, if the Fabspeed MBP were around $300 I would have ordered them already.

As I've posted before, I had the local muffer shop make me a set for my race car a year ago. They work great and cost about $60 including tips but should not be confused with Fabspeeds. The guys on the corner are not going to match Joe's quality but on a race car I have better things to spend my money on.
My real reason for posting is to suggest that you put set screws in the collar that holds the bypass pipes to the cats. These will shake loose (ask me how I know) and the people behind you are not going to be too happy when your bypass pipe goes through their windsheild.
Jim
I don't doubt their quality I just think $500 is way out of line for what they are. Like you, I have better things to spend my money on.
So the standard muffle clamps don't hold them? How does the Fabspeed units get held on then?
Actually, "the guy on the corner" (ie., your basic independent muffler shop) fabricates them for Joe. Joe doesn't know a thing about fabricating...basically, when you're ordering from Joe you're ordering from a middleman. Joe runs his business from his garage. Let me know if you'd like the number to the muffler shop he purchases his bypass pipes, as well as his mufflers from.
I certainly didn't mean to disparage the guy on the corner. There are many local shops that are more than capable of building beautiful stainless pipes. I was just refering to the local muffler shop. They are more than capable of bending a couple of pipes and welding on some tips but they won't be as nice as the ones that Joe sells.
Nick, I don't know how the Fabspeeds connect. I don't think they use the stock collar. Either way, they are not adequate for holding your bypass pipes in place. The fix is simple though. Just add some set screws and you are good to go.
