I'm also biased bluehinder...I think the anniversary car is presently the most beautiful 911 available...this car is very, very quick and handles exceptionally well I hope some mags road test it I think the results will show that with the x51, limited slip diff and that awsome suspension it really is rather special.....mine 's done 2,000 miles now and it sure is getting faster as it runs in...I'm changing the oil shortly....if you need any info message me

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I'm also biased, but I think it's the most beautiful car they make today. What a looker. The whole car just seems right, inside and out. Great motor and suspension to boot. Blue

POST 2Original post

Congrats, the 40th is a nice looking ride....and.....of course.....WHERE ARE THE PICTURES?!?!?!?! =)

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I never let my dealer wash my new cars. It's filthy and covered in dust, adhesive lines. cosmoline, still has masking tape on the wheels. It's 30 degrees in Colorado, so will wash it myself inside this weekend at the dealers. Pictures to follow, I promise!

POST 5Original post

Congrats--can't wait to see some pics once you have it all nice and shinny!

POST 7Original post

Anbody know whether the 40th suspension = ROW030, or something else?

POST 9Original post

Blue - where in Colo are you - would love to see it sometime! I'm in central Denver.

POST 10Original post

They would not put ROW suspension on a US destined car.

POST 11Original post

Cool! Another Denverite! Post pictures sometime soon.

POST 12Original post

I'm jealous, when I recently picked up my new 2003 Targa my dealer had a 40th on the floor. It is beautiful. PICS, PICS, and more PICS!!! Enjoy, Ken

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Too clarify, the suspension is the sport suspension, 030, but is lowered 10mm front and back. The normal USA 030 is not lowered. The ROW lowers the car 15/10 mm with the same 030 components. I've installed the ROW030 on my last three cars, but this one is so close that I'm going to leave it alone. It's a nice ride as is, firm but pleasant. I'm not going to sweat the front 5mm. It looks good stock. PSE coming next week, I took it off my C2 Cab trade in. I can't stress how holistic this car looks. The front spoiler and side sills, with the narrow body, wheels and color is just stunning. My friends, who are very Porsche jaded, having owned everything, are still stunned. I've not seen any modern Porsche which looks better to my eye, and my last three where the 996TT, Boxster S, and 2003 C2 Cab in Guards Red. Drives great, looks great, interior in full perforated Natural Grey, painted console, overall a great package. A fitting way for the 996 to go out.

POST 14Original post

congrats Bluehinder! Does not come any better PICS PICS please

POST 15Original post

Bluehinder: can you feel any difference between the new car and the ROW030 you've had on your others? C4C_leon, why wouldn't they? they want it lower, and they have a tried/tested setup (ROW030) -- why wouldn't they use it? There are certainly examples of the US getting the euro suspension (GT3 comes to mind)

POST 16Original post

There is a famous line in an Indian Jones movie that goes "You chose wisely my son". It certainly applies to you. Congrats!! Pat

POST 18Original post

I've never understood why there even is a USA 030 and a ROW 030. I used to think it was because of some dumb feb rule but luckily my GT3 came with the ROW suspension which I love as I don't need to spend $$ to lower it. People ordering the sport suspension most likely aren't concerned with ride height. What is Porsche's reasoning??? ( I had a '95 993 with 030 and it looked like an SUV when delivered...)

POST 19Original post

It's like a wedding anniversary! Enjoy zee snow...

POST 20Original post

Bluehinder How do you find the sports exaust..... I'm thinking of getting one any feedback would be appreciated, and how's the anniversary car going...there pretty nifty aren't they! DonnyJ

POST 21Original post

Congrats, bluehinder. It's a gorgeous car (I got to see one in person in the Austin dealership). Adding PSE will be the perfect addition to such a nice car.

POST 22Original post

Hi, everyone. I am new here also with an anniversary car. What do dealers typically charge for the PSE installed? I assume it does not impact the factory warranty? Is this the system that is somehow "switchable" with a dash installed switch? On my earlier car, a 2000 C4 Millennium, I had a Fabspeed exhaust installed and it was bordering on too loud as far as I was concerned....I'm wondering if the "factory" system is a little more subdued. Thanks for the comments...

POST 23Original post

Yep it has a switch...does it provide anymore BHP and is it worth getting with the louder X51 exaust note anyway?.................................I've decided against it the difference in BHP is negligible and it sounds similar Donny J
