The 997 is supposed to be available for ordering in March, 2004 with first deliveries to the U.S. in late September, 2004. It will be sold as a 2005.

What's with the "Silence of the Lambs" front grill? Jury still out for me, especially if they change the head lamps too...

The grillwork is masked for disguise. But look very closely at those masks.... It looks to me like there's more than just a turn signal or fog light there. If you notice where it's amber, then white.... well, I think that could be the bottom lip of the new headlamp assembly, masked further by the bogus half-fenders w/996 lamps on this mule. Just give it to us already!

I wonder how long they are going to continue with the C4S body style when they change to the 997? I'm getting my C4S in the spring around the same time the 997 is scheduled to be out.

Eric, I think you're on to something. The more I look at that front (in picture 4), it definitely appears that the headlights which are part of the half-fender camouflage piece, are totally bogus (and not just disguised to look like the current 996 headlights), and that the true front fender & bumper will be much more sloped than the 996. It would not surprise me to see Carrera GT-like headlights. Time will tell.
