hi everyone. i'm sure this has been answered somewhere on this site but I can't seem to find it using the search engine. the search engine won't allow me to search for "18" because it's less than 3 letters. I was wondering if 235/40/18 and 265/30=5/18 are ok for a 99 996 with factory 18x7.5 and 18x10 wheels. Thanks a bunch!!! I know that 225 and 285 are better but I can't seem to find any good deals on those. I found these tires available right now and want to know if they'll fit.

What I suggest you do is go to Tire Rack, then check out the tire. Usually, under the tab for "specs" for a particular brand, they will list the recommended wheel widths for the various tire sizes.

But a 235/40/18 may be a bit wide for a 7.5" rim width. Are you sure your don't have 8x18 rims in the front?

It is and with no benefits too. He doesn't if his wheels were factory installed on the '99. They used 7.5" fronts before MY 2002.

Also check out www.wheelenhancement.com. I got my Pirellis from them, and t notch. Specialize in Porsches so they will probably be able to answer your questions. There prices were better than tire racks, and I love my current 285's. Way better than my previous 265's
