Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have two trim pieces that cover the roll bars on the cabriolet, they are rectangular, and in a graphite fabric trim. One of mine lost its tabs, and has vanished- I've checked Pelican Parts to no avail, does anyone know what this part is or can post a link? Thanks,

POST 2Original post

Go to www.autoatlanta.com and look up Cabrio Roll Over Bar (under the body tab for 996) #2 should be the piece youre looking for.

POST 3Original post

AutoAtlanta Parts base part is '99655534101' for the driver's side and '99655534201' for the passenger's side. A07 is black, B07 is Space Grey, C07 is Graphite Grey, and G03 is for Metropol Blue.

thanks for the additional detail, that is a very difficult website to navigate!

I don't believe this part number above is for the trim for a 996 to cover the pop up rollbars. It is for a later model year. I looked in my shop manual and that part doesn't seem to be sold separately. It looks like you you have to buy the whole trim part to get the flaps. That is also how they sell it at the dismantlers. Here is the Pelican option: Porsche Interior Cover Trim for Cabriolet Top Genuine Porsche 996.555.083.04.EDK 996 555 083 04 EDK 996-555-083-04-EDK 99655508304EDK | Pelican Parts . Now I know how valuable they are, I'm going to chase them down if they blow away. This also may explain why I occasionally see cabs with these missing.

Yikes, given that price, I'll pull the other out so it's evenly matched. Thanks for tracking down this part!

When I bought mine one of them was cracked and loose. It literally did blow off on a freeway ramp, and I literally did chase it down on the side of the road. Glad I did because at time I didnt know you had to buy the entire cover. I eventually repaired it and DIY'd it back in.
