yesterday when i got my engine to idle the oil pressure will fall to below the 1 bar line and the oil pressure light will come on plus whistling noise coming from the engine ... At speed the oil pressure will run normal at 4-5 bars and blipping the throttle from idle allows the pressure to pick up as expected,warning light and noise will disappear .. it will come back at idle. Hope its no a serious problem ? please tell me what could it be? my C2 1999 done so far 77000 miles thanks

No mess with oil pressure.. Could be the oil pump needs changing at 77k miles it's no surprise.. Surely must seek professional advice. Wael

Good that you found the problem. But my advice is that if your oil pressure drops and/or your oil pressure light comes on. Stop the car, switch it off, call for help then sh*t yourself. In no way would/should you drive the car any further. I wouldn't even start it up.
