Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The saga of my rebuild continues. I am in the process of bringing a totaled 996 back to life and we are coming close to the final stages. The mechanic finally got the engine to run, but one of the cylinders is not firing. He ruled out the coil, ruled out the spark plugs and there is plenty of pressure in the cylinder. Any ideas? Also, anyone have a diy on headliner replacement. I think I have everything (headliner, sunroof liner and a metal rod that goes through the middle), I just don't know how the sides hook on. Help is appreciated.

POST 2Original post

the sides of the headliner attach by hooking them underneath the plastic side moldings and then screwing them down. you can use a little bit of adhesive to hold the liner in place until you get the side moldings screwed down.
