I've installed the B&M on my '99, but I must admit after a couple of drives I got used to it and it no longer does anything for me.

i installed teh K&N OEM filter on mine and i noticed at very high rpm's a hair of a diffrence "for the good" and im getting about 3 more miles per gallon, so i can't complain about that

I would go with the RUF as it bolts onto the transmission and I feel is the most effective short shifter out there.

I paid $199 for my B&M short shift kit, which is the best price that I'm aware of. I purchased it from Bobby at Foreign Affairs ( www.2fam.com ). Definetly one of my favorite mods.

thx guys what other mod do you have on your porsche? is k&n air filter worth it? i always changed the filter in my other cars but i'm not sure if it's needed in porsche. seems like porsche does everything right from the factory.

V8HUNTR, I would definitely suggest an exhaust. I've installed the B&M on my '99, but I must admit after a couple of drives I got used to it and it no longer does anything for me. Of course I haven't driven a stock shifter since I installed my B&M. My exhaust on the other hand is still very enjoyable to me. Not sure if there is any performance improvement but my ears certainly enjoys the music a lot more. My wife has noticed the grin after I get back from my morning Saturday drives. Just a suggestion......
