So I recently replaced an original OEM starter on my '99 996 with a cheap imitation. Does anyone want the original starter? The original starter has 72k miles on it and was working ok with the exception that it was hanging up for a second or so. My guess is that the solenoid is bad. Anyway, its free to anyone who wants to pay for shipping.

The hang up is mainly because the front bushing is dry. It doesn't harm anything except os spunds bad. My old TDI did this for 8 years.

If anyone else wants one I have one that was working intermittently when I replaced it a few you ears ago. Probably a good candidate for a rebuild.
