There are two of these on the front bumpers, and one similar on the back of the car. there is also a telephone cord (RJ-11) type jack on the dash that will power up an Escort radar detector (that I borrowed from my brother). Those look like Laser jammers by K40. Not the radar detectors, but he Laser blockers. I removed mine after purchasing my 2000 C2. They did not work, old technology from 2000. K40 told me they were no longer effective when I called and asked about the old K40 install from year 2000.

Interesting. Is there a way to identify which models are no longer effective. I have something similar and as far as I can tell, it is an Infinity detector. It alarms every time someone in an Infinity is behind me. Very annoying. If it's not doing anything else I'll cut the wires.

My K40 will pick up a new Audi miles away! Plus other high end vehicles with blind spot radar warnings. Almost makes it useless with so many false positives.

If you want to keep the jammers, Blinder has a nice system that's significantly cheaper than everyone else.
