Let's just say I had 6 BMWs in the past, and all it took was one test drive on a 991 and I was hooked.

I only use those buttons when I want some really fast fun.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have been offered a good deal hard to pass by. I traded the 2013 M5 and the 996 C2 for a 997.2 PDK Turbo.
I loved the 996, but always worried about needing to replace this or that. The M5 was a great car but my expectations were a bit higher.
The 997.2 Turbo is just unreal!
oops sorry!

Picked it up with 5,000 miles on it, so I actually consider it like a new car. I think I had a very good deal. It was 106,000 for the car, even though I have seen similar cars go for way more money. 1 previous owner.
Thank you all for the warm comments! I really had a blast with everyone here on the 996 forum! Ill post more pictures when this rain goes away and I get some proper pictures.
Quick note, this car goes so fast! In sports plus the shift between 1st and 2nd is just so violent I gave whip lash to my passengers, and it managed to spin the wheels even though it is all wheel drive! I am very happy on my decision to trade my M5, because even though it is a lovely car and I did European Delivery on it and etc, I could not find any pleasure driving the car. On a day like today, the rain would constantly keep the back end looking for grip even under normal driving. The turbo on the other hand, just a gem of a car!!!
Amazing car (option 982 gave me a bit of a chuckle, though -- not sure what Dr. Porsche would have thought about "soft ruffled leather" seats on a P-car!). Seems anti-Teutonic.
Are you going through a 'Mid Life Crisis'? I ask that question because I am going green with envy and I dont like you hahaha.
PLUS you are not allowed to come on the 996 board again so bugger off hahahahaha.
Nicely optioned car! Love the sport plus! I drove a Panny GTS and 991 on the track last year and yes, it was very violent.
Enjoy the car man.... enjoy! Don't get too many tickets.
Haha, yeah, but it actually works great I think. It seems to be not as tight as it was on the 996 seats I had and makes it last longer maybe? I am not sure, but it is funny as the Turbo is a rough ride as it is, so the extra padding on the seats is a good idea
. Just dont touch the sport or sport plus button or the suspension button and it is okay to daily drive. I only use those buttons when I want some really fast fun. Otherwise, regular non sport mode on the turbo makes my previous M5 seem like a Toyota corolla, and that car was not exactly slow.
You could say something like that haha. Let's just say I had 6 BMWs in the past, and all it took was one test drive on a 991 and I was hooked. Followed by ownership of the 996 and now this turbo. I swear when I get into the car and start it up, its like a fighter jet powering up.
Thank you! I was deciding between a GTS panny (same price) and the Turbo. Thought I might need the rear room and was a bit torn at the moment to give away the M5. Asked for a test drive with the GTS, and it is a sweet car. Then the dealer said "how about we take the turbo for a spin so you can make up your mind", and as he walked me to the car and I saw that turbo sitting all shinny, clean and ready to go, I said".... forget the GTS lets just get the Turbo." Surprisingly, I thought the M5 sounded a bit unexciting with a turbo engine, but the 911 sounds amazing with the whooshing turbo sound. When I park it into the garage it is not loud but actually shakes the ceilings because of it's low frequency. I shall try to not get any tickets, but if a police officer pulls me over for going way over the limit, I wont know what to say!
