Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Drain cleaning proved to be much more difficult than anticipated.
Leading evidence: 'much more difficult than anticipated' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'much more difficult than anticipated' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean proved' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

If you plan on drying the underside of the carpet without taking it out, I recommend stuffing towels under there and applying pressure repeatedly and keeping your doors or window open.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

We've had heavy rain here for the past few days. I went to breakfast this morning in the city, and when I came back to the car I had a puddle in the back seat, with water dripping from the roof above the back seat.
Looks like it's time to clear my sunroof drains. Is this a big job? It looks fairly simple from what I've seen online. Any advice would be appreciated.
Just a general caution to treat those drains with extra care. I do not know their construction but if the drains have rubber hoses running down through the body to carry water down to the ground you do not want to do anything that could tear or break the hoses. The water then could drain down inside the body somewhere else and cause even more grief than a wet back seat.
If the sunroof drains are plugged or draining slowly the body water drains could probably stand for some attention too.
If you can find the bottom of the drains under the car, hit them with an air hose nozzle upwards to dislodge all the crap stuck in them. If you do the same from the top, you can sometimes jam them up even worse...
Besides clearing the drains, I can't emphasize that you get ALL the water out from those thick foam pads under the carpet or mold could grow there.
If you plan on drying the underside of the carpet without taking it out, I recommend stuffing towels under there and applying pressure repeatedly and keeping your doors or window open.
I would follow it up by propping up your carpet with a stick and directing a small fan under it.
If you got lucky and only had water on the top side of your carpet, this may not apply to you.
Drain cleaning proved to be much more difficult than anticipated. Actually it was a failed attempt.
I've read multiple posts about how easy and quick it should be. I looked at the diagrams. I jacked up the car, removed the rear fender liner and proceeded to search for about 45 minutes for the drain. I never found it. Or maybe I did and I didn't realize it. I don't think I did. Very frustrating. I put it all back together again and I'm quite sure it will still leak.
