Looking at a 99 996. On the window sticker is says "Tracktion Control with ABD". Is that the limited slip that was only available on the 99's? Thanks.

Under the hood is the option number and my 99 has listed option 220 & 224 Active brake differential and Locking Differential. I think that means Limited slip or at least a fancy differential

my 99 has 222- traction control system, 220-locking differential, 224-active brake differential. You want code 220 which is LSD I believe.

I ordered it on my first '99 and I know there were 14 more because they were all ordered in a batch for the Playboy Cup race series. What is RARE is the sunroof delete. Mine and the 14 others were all sunroof delete. Sadly I do not have that specific '99 anymore. And even more sad is that sunroof delete has not been an option for any North Ameican delivered 996's since 2000, unless it was a GT3, GT2, or spec racer of some sort.

Now it is an SCCA Series for Mazda MX-5's. I guess the celebraties were too hard on the Porsches. Whomever drove my car trashed the 3rd gear syncho's and I got a brand new transmission from PC AG. January-February 1999 time frame for my car.
