Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

how can i manually lower a 996 window glass? door is out of the car(no more power) and the window is already lowered a little. i can't have access to 1 bolt that secured the window. I need to raise the window by 1'' to have access. how could this be done? thanks for the help

POST 2Original post

If you remove the window motor from the window regulator (hopefully not too difficult), you should be able to slide the glass up or down freely. The other way is to bump the window motor but you need to figure out which pins to apply power. May damage the electronics inside the motor unit if the wrong pins are used though.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i wiill try that, the window motor is already loose but i will see if i can pull it out thx

POST 4Original post

Definitely, undo the motor from the regulator. You can then easily manually move the glass up and down in the guides.
