Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

39 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had to share this craigslist find. Atlanta: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/ctd/3682836136.html

POST 4Original post

Money can't buy taste but apparently, it can buy a Porsche. Maybe this is equivalent to BMW's Individual series?

POST 7Original post

So ugly it's beautiful. Color matched hardtopped, three-piece wheels with and aggressive offset and color-matched centers and a suspension height to go with them and it'd be an awesome car for ripping around town in.

POST 9Original post

There was a 996 turbo coupe with the same color combination for sale when I was shopping for my C4S. It was in great shape with low mileage... but.... woof...

POST 11Original post

Yeah, the turbo has been posted on here before. Nobody could figure out why it didn't sell...... That car is as close as it comes to a greek tragedy (other than IMS failure). Remember those photos when you buy a new car in a trendy color.

POST 12Original post

Was thinking with the new car wraps that are out there these days, might be worth buying a horrible colour Porsche with low miles, as they go for less money. Then get it wrapped up in a cool trendy colour,

POST 14Original post

I don't know what porsche was smoking when them came up with this colour but whatever it was IT MUST HAVE BEEN FREAKING GOOOOOD......

POST 15Original post

I actually don't mind the exterior color. If they had paired it with a black interior or even a beige interior, it would have been okay...

"Okay" as in Mary Kay Okay?

POST 17Original post

The great thing about this car is you can drive it into a swamp and when they pull it out it will look the same.

POST 18Original post

I used to live in Dallas... I've seen plenty of pink Mark Kay Caddies driving around! I've also driven by Mary Kay's big pink mansion.

Funny, I was thinking the only reason that color is kinda cool is because it was paired with a matching interior in the same ridiculous color. Kinda like BMW Evergreen Green from the M Coupe/Roadster, which usually came with a matching interior:

POST 21Original post

If I was the Geico lizard I'd be driving it. The bimmer on the other is good looking.

POST 22Original post

hmmm.... on one hand it definitely is unique. on the other hand, it sucks.

POST 23Original post

There is a Pink 996 Turbo Cab around here...I have a pic someplace.

Now THAT color is gorgeous... The Green one in the first posting I thought was very nice until I saw the inside. Then I almost puked. Any Porsche 996 stands out in a crowd but the green one yuck. I would only take that car out once a year on March 17th... The BMW inside colors would look great on the green car I think. But still not for me.

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Diarrhea metallic. Terrible.

POST 27Original post

Is this the same color as the one in the OP? Ghastly.

POST 28Original post

It would be a good deal for a canine or a human thats color blind.

POST 29Original post

I like any color Porsche interior as long as it's black.

POST 30Original post

5CHN3LL is a brilliant Dude.....I could not have said it better!!!!!

POST 32Original post

I met the owner of the car in the original post this summer (or, they actually did make more than one of these in this color combo). Nice lady, she bought the car because she liked the crazy color combo. It was pretty cool in person.

One word "zippo" :/

POST 34Original post

Anyone have pics of the Ronald McDonald turbo that used to be on rennlist? Some poor dumb ba****d ordered a black turbo with partially black interior and alternating red and yellow plastics.

POST 36Original post

Looks good at the Beach ( it's a Florida thing )

POST 37Original post

Just add bright orange rims and you can go cruising south beach with Dan Marino

POST 38Original post

That car is now in Washington State - appropriately - The Evergreen State. The 996 is now owned by a friends daughter. Again appropriately, she is a very talented artist. Interesting bit of history - the 996 was originally leased to a "Hollywood" business. I assume ordered for a Starlet or Studio exec...? It is loaded with options and a very good purchase ... if you can live with that interior.

POST 39Original post

If it was a coupe without the wood trim I think I could handle the color combo. Break up the interior with some painted trim or carbon fiber. Add some black wheels and the right stance...it could work.
