I still need to figure out why the reverse lights don't work (not a fuse - could be the switch), why my third brake light doesn't work, repair the hole in my roof and rips in my seats.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I recently prurchased my first Porsche - a 1999 911 Cab with 80k miles. The previous owner lowered the rear suspension with Bilstein shocks and shorter springs. I would like to restore the car to its original ride height. I have a set of original springs from a 2002 C4S Coupe. Does anyone know if these are compatible with my car? Thanks.

Probably not. Generally Cabs are more softly sprung than hard top models to avoid excessive body/chassis flex that stiffer springs would bring.

POST 4Original post

POST 5Original post

I have a set of ROW 030 springs that I just took off my 99 C2 - $250. They will work well with what you have and not make it too low.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All - thanks for the replies. If my free CS4 springs (given to me by a friend) won't work, raising the car back to OEM height will fall back on my list of priorities. I still need to figure out why the reverse lights don't work (not a fuse - could be the switch), why my third brake light doesn't work, repair the hole in my roof and rips in my seats. I was only going to address the ride height since I thought I had the parts.

POST 7Original post

real easy DIY for the reversing switch. 10 mins work right hand side of gear box. Wires off. Uncrew switch and don't tighten it to much on replacing it. Cheap DIY.
