Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Now, in diagnosing 61, I see the first step is to check the country coding.
Leading evidence: 'Check country coding' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check country coding' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

I used to get 47, 61, 33, 54, and 60, as well as some other odd behaviors, and replacing the passenger door latch solved those odd behaviors and got rid of 33, 54, and 60.

The detectors seem to take longer to set than the rest of the system.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My car beeps twice when I unlock it and the central locking light on the dash switch has a mind of its own (just the light). I get fault codes 47 and 61. I used to get 47, 61, 33, 54, and 60, as well as some other odd behaviors, and replacing the passenger door latch solved those odd behaviors and got rid of 33, 54, and 60. Now, in diagnosing 61, I see the first step is to check the country coding. It looks like that is something Durametric cannot do? I bought the replacement passenger door latch from Rose Passion, which is in France. Could this be my problem, or is the coding only in the alarm control module itself?
When you unlock with the remote or durametric activations, you can hear it unlock the doors successfully, then try to unlock them a second time, then the beeps.
IIRC 2 beeps means something is not "secure" according to the alarm, I get it and in my case its the lock on the console, if I push down hard on the console it doesn't beep.. When the hard top is on. When the hard top is off it always beeps twice have not figured that out yet..
"I bought the replacement passenger door latch from Rose Passion, which is in France." What was the specific part number? There are different versions for US vs ROW and LHD and RHD.
I have the same understanding as pdxmotorhead.
To the OP: my having a VW driver's door lock is the cause for my alarm now beeping once upon locking (whether by key or remote) and beeping twice upon unlocking by key/remote.
So very probable that your double beep is also caused by the new door lock not being the correct one. Going by rosepassion site the type of alarm option code is relevant.
Country coding is certainly not in the door lock as there are no microchips inside it.

Would have been fine except I didn't realize it was me for a bit, was kinda snoozing while wife shopped.
